Teaching Schools

The continuous professional development (CPD) offer of each teaching school will vary based on their specialisms and partnerships. This are likely to cover training and programmes for teachers early in their career as well as experienced and confident teachers and leaders.

Teaching Schools also designate system leaders to provide school-to-school school improvement support to other schools and trusts. These include Local Leaders of Education (LLE) and Specialist Leaders of Education (SLE). Often, they have National Leaders of Education (NLE) to draw upon.

Please note: The teaching school programme will come to an end in August 2021. Some of the teaching schools will continue to provide support after rebranding. A network of Teaching School Hubs are now central to national school improvement and teacher development policy, including Bradford Teaching School Hub.
