The Inclusive Secondary Classroom

This event will take place between 3:45pm and 5:15pm on 09/11/2021

This sequence of three webinars will be an opportunity to reflect on and explore the components that support the inclusive secondary classroom – meaningful curriculum sequencing and delivery; inclusive pedagogy; an enabling learning environment; embedded universal approaches and adaptive expertise.

Throughout this series the graduated approach (assess-plan-do-review) and its application within the classroom setting will be a golden thread. There will also be opportunities to reflect on how leaders can facilitate a 'built in not bolt on' approach to effective practice for pupils with SEND across the whole school.

Part 1 - Tuesday 19th Oct 2021, 15:45-17:15

Part 2 - Tuesday 9th Nov 2021, 15:45-17:15

Part 3 - Tuesday 23rd Nov 2021, 15:45-17:15

  • Support children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs in a mainstream secondary classroom.
  • Benefit children and young people with a diverse range of special educational needs.
