Assessment Window Updates: Thursday 22nd February 2.30-3pm

?A must-attend for all Induction Tutors. This session will provide valuable insights into the latest assessment window protocols. Participants from the previous session are encouraged to stay on the call.

Appropriate Body Q&A: Wednesday 6th March 3.30-4.30pm

An optional, yet highly beneficial session for anyone seeking additional support or guidance during the assessment window. Louise Wisson, our AB Lead, will be available to answer your questions throughout the session.

NPQs:

We're thrilled to report that the February 2024 NPQ cohort launch was a resounding success. It was a pleasure to meet and welcome all new participants and Visiting Fellows at our recent conferences, which have been met with positive feedback. Here's what some attendees had to say:

“Discussing the programme content and developing a deeper understanding of the simple model of memory was extremely beneficial.”

“Explanation of retrieval practice and ‘Science of Learning’ knowledge was really clear and broken down into manageable chunks.''

''Visiting Fellows both had great subject knowledge and were able to clarify misconceptions and draw out powerful discussions from the group. I thoroughly enjoyed my first session!”

“Having the chance to meet colleagues from other schools was great as it allowed for networking and sharing ideas. The content shared and discussed was relevant to my role which was really useful.”

Initial Teacher Training (ITT)

We are excited to announce the imminent relaunch of the Bradford for Teaching platform. This initiative aims to highlight the significant benefits and opportunities that come with engaging in Initial Teacher Training. Stay tuned for more details on the website launch. In the meantime, for the latest updates and insights, follow us on X (formerly Twitter) @BradfordTeach.

Warm wishes

Exceed Teaching School Hub, led by Copthorne Primary School and Exceed Academies Trust, has a leading role in signposting and delivering teacher development support to all 215 Bradford schools and our partners in other regions wishing to access support from Exceed Teaching School Hub.

The Hub helps to fulfil one of Exceed Academies Trust's ethical goals: to contribute to system-wide improvements in education.

Designated by the Department for Education (DfE) in February 2020, Exceed Teaching School Hub’s core functions support schools and trusts to invest in their workforce to grow, recruit, develop and retain the very best teachers, support staff and leaders. We will achieve this through a place-based approach to signposting and delivering high-quality progressive teacher development programmes that complement the internal support provided by schools and trusts. Our vision acknowledges teacher and leadership development are two of the most important forms of school improvement. We will achieve this by enhancing partnership working with schools, trusts and high-quality providers; improving the communication of opportunities with the workforce; introducing new professional learning opportunities; supporting teachers and leaders to make informed choices when selecting continuous professional development (CPD) and support, and ensuring that no school is left behind.
