Good afternoon

We are delighted to widen the Instructional Coaching Offer to individual schools as well as school partnerships. We listened to leaders, especially in secondary schools, that wished to benefit from the offer and establish a Professional Learning Community in their own school. We have adjusted the offer to reflect this. Instructional coaching is the form of teacher development with the most robust evidence base for impact. It underpins national programmes such as the Early Career Framework. But, its application is much wider.

The Instructional Coaching Offer is a unique opportunity for partnerships, such as a trust or a local area partnership, or individual schools to develop sustainable capacity and expertise. Below, I have provided more information and a link to our dedicated webpage.

We look forward to supporting you!

Best wishes

Paul

Instructional Coaching Offer (funded by Bradford Opportunity Area)

We are delighted to offer Bradford school partnerships, such as a trust or a local area partnership, or individual schools the opportunity to develop local expertise via our new Instructional Coaching Offer.

The offer will support the partnership or school to identify a priority to address through instructional coaching. The offer will develop an expert teacher via the Intensive Instructional Coaching Programme. The partnership or school will be equipped with the resources to introduce a Professional Learning Community (or network) to build further instructional coaching capacity across all schools or a wider staff team.

Bradford Opportunity Area is funding this offer. Unfortunately, this offer is only for Bradford schools.

Full details, including a 15-minute video, access to a briefing event, expression of interest form, and application form are available via the link below:

Exceed Teaching School Hub, led by Copthorne Primary School and Exceed Academies Trust, has a leading role in signposting and delivering teacher development support to all 215 Bradford schools and our partners in other regions wishing to access support from Bradford Teaching School Hub.

The Hub helps to fulfil one of Exceed Academies Trust's ethical goals: to contribute to system-wide improvements in education.

Designated by the Department for Education (DfE) in February 2020, Exceed Teaching School Hub’s core functions support schools and trusts to invest in their workforce to grow, recruit, develop and retain the very best teachers, support staff and leaders. We will achieve this through a place-based approach to signposting and delivering high-quality progressive teacher development programmes that complement the internal support provided by schools and trusts. Our vision acknowledges teacher and leadership development are two of the most important forms of school improvement. We will achieve this by enhancing partnership working with schools, trusts and high-quality providers; improving the communication of opportunities with the workforce; introducing new professional learning opportunities; supporting teachers and leaders to make informed choices when selecting continuous professional development (CPD) and support, and ensuring that no school is left behind.
