Improving Outcomes for Disadvantaged Young People at SEN Support

This event will take place between 4:00pm and 5:00pm on 21/06/2021

Presented by Whole School SEND, this series of three webinars will support schools to develop an implementation plan to improve outcomes for disadvantaged children and young people at SEN Support.

Sessions will provide resources to support schools in developing and evaluating their implementation plan as well as using the evidence-informed graduated approach to SEND support in schools.

This series aims to:

  • Highlight the importance of inclusion being at the core of development planning in schools
  • Provide evidence from schools who have developed their inclusive practice
  • Support leaders in schools in implementing their development plans and monitoring impact

The series will feature three sessions spread over the Summer and Autumn terms to allow attendees time to develop and implement strategies:

Part 1, Monday 21st June, 4.00-5.00 PM: Development Planning for Inclusion - Featuring guest speaker Marc Rowland.

Part 2, Wednesday 14th July, 4.00-5.00 PM: Developing and Embedding Inclusive Practice - Featuring case studies from practitioners and a presentation from Dr Jim Rogers.

Part 3, Tuesday 14th September, 4.00-5.00 PM: Implementing, Monitoring and Evaluating - Featuring guest speaker Marc Rowland.

This series is suitable for practitioners from all school types and phases.
