Bradford Teaching School Hub

Bradford Teaching School Hub, led by Copthorne Primary School and Exceed Academies Trust, has a leading role in signposting, facilitating and delivering school improvement support, including the national teacher development offers, in the region.

Bradford Teaching School Hub’s clearly defined role in delivering professional development makes it easier for schools and teachers to identify the range of high-quality teacher development opportunities available to them. National providers commissioned in 2021 to deliver the Early Career Framework (ECF); new Specialist National Professional Qualifications (NPQs); reformed suite of Leadership National Professional Qualifications; and the New Headteacher Programme will deliver their programmes in partnership with Bradford Teaching School Hub from Autumn 2021. In addition, Bradford Teaching School Hubs continues to deliver school-based Initial Teacher Training (ITT) via Exceed SCITT. In the future it will quality assure statutory induction through an Appropriate Body (AB) role.

School-to-school support

Bradford Teaching School Hub brokers and commissions school improvement support for schools and trusts. This may be supported by funding from organisations such as the Department for Education (DfE).

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) events

Bradford Teaching School Hub facilitates and delivers high-quality Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for the school workforce.

Initial Teacher Training (ITT)

Exceed SCITT, part of Exceed Academies Trust, delivers primary ITT programmes.

National Professional Qualifications (NPQ)

Exceed Institute, part of Exceed Academies Trust, delivers National Professional Qualification for Middle Leaders (NPQML) and National Professional Qualification for Senior Leaders (NPQSL) programmes for established and aspiring school leaders.
